A couple of years ago, a friend gave me this dangerous prayer:
Lord, your heart aches for this world,
as your child, my heart shares that ache.
These children that we hold are not ours,
but on loan to us, from You.
Do us the honor o Lord,
of giving our children a powerful burden
for the lost in this world.
Fill our children with a passion
to go to those who need to hear.
And give us, as their parents a heart that accept this,
even though it costs us.
As You sent Your Child to save the lost,
send our children too.
Amen.
